St. Augustine

St. Augustine Photo

St. Augustine sod has a deep blue-green color and wide, coarse blades. It tolerates salt, which makes it an excellent choice for homes near the coast. St. Augustine spreads quickly with tubular runners that spread across the soil, but this means that it's not the best choice for play areas where it will be subject to heavy foot traffic. It's heat tolerant but goes dormant in the winter.

Best Uses: Part- to full-sun lawns without much foot traffic. Great for lawns near the seashore.

$2.40 per cubic yard

I don't know what you guys put in it but it works. Thanks to Dixie Mix I have the greenest, thickest lawn in my whole neighborhood now. It started off as so-so and had some dead spots in it now it is just amazingly thick and green. I am enclosing some pictures from my front lawn. Thank You!
